Satao
Camp has 20 tents, all en-suite,
nestled amongst trees and
surrounding a central
water-hole, the semi-circular
layout of the camp provides an
excellent viewing point for each
of our guests as the animals
come to drink from the
waterhole. The tents are
furnished with locally made beds
in unique African designs with
private bathrooms with running
water. The shower however is in
the true African style, whereby
the camp staff bring hot water

Galdessa,
(baboon in
Wariangulu, the tribe
that used to
lived in the area) is a
small eco-camp located in Tsavo
East National Park, 15
kilometers upstream of
Lugards
Falls.
Galdessa Camp's remote
access in a very wild part of
the park ensures that tourism is
kept to a minimum, enhancing the
intimacy the camp, and guests,
enjoy with Nature. The
accommodation and activities are
geared at the traveler looking
for a private experience in the
African bush.
The camp has 8 spacious "bandas"
(grass-thatched-bungalow-like
structures) set well apart, all
facing the river and the
Yatta
Plateau, the world's largest
fossilized lava flow (over 200
kilometers long).
Two
bandas
are organized in suites. The
most remote
banda is ideal for
honeymooners in search of
privacy, with its own sitting
room, viewing platform and water
wallow a spacious en-suite
bathroom/dressing room.
Perfectly adapted to the
environment,
Galdessa
is a refined expression of the
safaris of yesteryear. The walls
are made of canvas and mosquito
netting tastefully set in timber
frames forming a romantic
interior which enhances the
contact with the rhythms and
sounds of the natural world
outside.
